Origin / Composition: Composed of 60% pre-consumer silk cut-offs and 40% GMO-free PLA, sourced from responsibly grown high-yield crops.

Fossil Plastic Content: Contains no fossil plastic content.

Production: Created through a proprietary process that repurposes leftover printed silk fabrics into an innovative insulating material. The process includes four key steps:

  1. Collection of “end of waste” silk fabric scraps from leftover rolls.

  2. Mechanical garneting to transform scraps into very fine fibers.

  3. Decoloration using GOTS-approved substances.

  4. Blending the fibers with biodegradable PLA (polylactic fiber).

Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ): Available in low MOQs, with super limited quantities for prototyping.

Properties: Lightweight, breathable, with excellent moisture management and warmth retention properties.

Applications: Ideal for any garments requiring padding, easy to use, and comes with a scrim PLA sheet on one side for shedding retention.

Certifications: GOTS and Global Recycled Standard (GRS 2017-026).
