Phellinus ellipsoideus is a parasitic, invasive species of tree mushroom found in Brazil. The mushroom’s natural colour and texture are preserved in the material, making each piece truly unique. Developed to blend luxury with sustainability, MuSkin is naturally water-resistant, durable and soft to the touch reminding suede texture. It has no particular smell.
The outer shell is skillfully assembled from MuSkin tiles by a Munich-based artisan, while the inner lining is hand-stitched from 100% BCI-certified cotton deadstock sourced from Scotland, ensuring the entire piece is fully biodegradable.
The bag is finished with high-grade, gold-plated stainless steel hardware, designed for lasting durability and scratch resistance. It features a detachable pocket that serves as a passport holder or coin purse, adding versatility to its design.
